The 10th Annual One Mile Race (1,609 meters) in Opava
Up to 1,000 runners line up once a year at the starting line, all aiming to reach the finish. For joy, for the feeling of “I can do this,” for the spirit of competition, to show friends or children that sports are healthy and a natural part of life — and that we can achieve it together.
The race is endorsed by Jiří Sýkora, a proud native of Opava, Olympic runner, and still the holder of the Czechoslovak record in the 5,000 meters.
